Directions + Tips

Must be taken on an empty stomach with a large glass of water (30-60 minutes before or 2 hours after meals). Dosage varies by indivudual and should be monitored closely.

One approach that has worked for many is:

  • Days 1-5: Take 1 capsule, 3 times a day.
  • Days 6-11: Take 2 capsules, 3 times a day.
  • Therapeutic Dose: Take 3 capsules, 3 times a day.
  • Maintenance Dose: Every body is different. Monitor your body closely as you increase to the Therapeutic Dose. After desired effect has been reached, reduce slowly until you find what amount continues to work for your body. On average, this is 1-2 capsules fewer per day than the Therapeutic Dose.

Spotlight on an Ingredient: SEBkinase®

SEBkinase contains two potent fibrinolytic enzymes with powerful synergistic effects: serrapeptase and nattokinase. 

Serrapeptase is an enzyme belonging to the serine protease class.  It was originally found in silkworms. When the silkmoth was ready to emerge from its cocoon, serrapeptase enabled the silkworm to dissolve the tough, fibrous cocoon. This fibrinolytic activity in serrapeptase was identified by humans as beneficial to support the human cardiovascular and inflammatory systems and has been consumed by humans for decades.

Nattokinase is also an enzyme belonging to the serine protease class, similar to serrapeptase in many ways. It was originally found in natto, a Japanese fermented soybean breakfast dish and traditionally used to support heart health, to relieve fatigue, and to support thinner blood.*

Why Take Fibrinolytic Enzymes?

Imagine you scrape your knee – your blood immediately clots and your body makes a scaffolding out of fibrin (a thread-like protein) to hold the clot in place. This acts as a natural bandage as the body heals. Your body uses fibrin to repair internal injuries too.

But your body also has to take down the fibrin scaffolding (a process called fibrinolysis). Your body naturally does this with an enzyme called plasmin, which breaks down the fibrin into parts the body can process. Healthy fibrinolysis is critical for managing pain, scarring and potential blood clots.

My first purchase of this type of product (the original one) was from Arthur Andrews years ago. There was some controversy between the developer of the product on the time released nature of it and how someone wanted to change the formula. Some of the details are vague at the moment but I have the letter I was sent in a file. Anyway I ended up purchasing from Biomedical Labs as I was having trouble getting the product from Arthur Andrews. To be hones I don't think the product is as potent as the original one. It could be different ingredients from different wholesalers, differences in my body's reaction to the product over the years etc. It's still a good product which I use but I sometimes feel something is missing.
